Ribbon Cable Notching

Notching of ribbon cables is required for use with IDT connectors where the web of the ribbon which keeps the pitch of the conductors cannot fit into the connector.

At Cable First we have automated notching machines which can cut out this webbing without cutting into the conductors, this then enables termination into the required connector at either the ends or along the cable length for multiple back plane daisy chain applications.
